NYXOID® nasal spray contains the active substance naloxone. Naloxone temporarily reverses the effects of opioids such as heroin, methadone, fentanyl, oxycodone, buprenorphine and morphine.

NYXOID® nasal spray should be carried by anyone at risk of overdosing on an opioid. Carers such as close family or friends should know where to find NYXOID® in case of emergency. 

NYXOID® is not a substitute for emergency medical care. 

NYXOID® is intended as part of an emergency treatment and the patient/carer should be advised to seek medical help immediately. If you know or suspect that someone has overdosed on an opioid drug ALWAYS call an ambulance immediately.
